Absolutely breathtaking! Meteora is one of the most awe-inspiring places I’ve ever visited. The towering rock formations and centuries-old monasteries perched on cliffs are simply magical. The views are stunning, the history is rich, and the atmosphere is peaceful. A must-see site in Greece!

I think there’s no need to describe the beauty and the outstanding impression those monasteries makes. Instead, a good advice is to arrive very early. We were around half an hour before opening and managed to get one of the last parking spots quite close. Later it gets very crowded.

Stunning view from the monastery but such a shame that it’s swamped with tour groups, standing around making it almost impossible to get round and see what we all would like to look at 😞 Try to arrive before the big tour groups arrive or after they have left. I arrived opening time and it was relatively ‘quiet’ but not for long! I had to go in peak tourist season.
