Beautiful house and fantastic lake to walk around. About a mile with benches along the way. Lots of photo opportunities. Highly recommend a visit. Weekdays are better than super busy weekends.
Jody
Absolutely lovely! The house looks like Buckingham Palace! And the gardens are lovely. It is the nicest National Trust place I’ve been to. The gardens were so beautiful and had loads of temples around! It even had a pub, church and holiday cottages onsite! Really really recommend it.

This is one of the best National Trusts visited the gardens are beautiful and the walk around the lake is so lovely and relaxing with so many different trees and plants. There are some challenging areas with quite steep paths but I think most of these could be avoided. The house is really interesting with so many different rooms and so much history.
